The Andean Hummingbird: Winchus
Main Article Content
Abstract
The hummingbird, especially the tiny one, draws attention for its acrobatic flight and for its polychrome feathers that shine in the sunlight. The people of the Andes consider it as a good messenger of this and other dimensions, as a symbol of luck and fortune for those who see it or carry their feathers. Those who share its habitat have created stories about the hummingbird, making it the protagonist.
