General Objective

To provide access to and use of scientific electronic publications and artistic creation, and in general, content of special interest for the academic and research activities of teachers, researchers, decision-makers, and students in economic and social sciences.

Specific Objectives:

• To disseminate the research and contributions of researchers and students in economics, accounting, and administration from UNASAM, as well as from other academic institutions, organizations, and entities from the national and international public and private sectors.
• To extend UNASAM’s theoretical and empirical dissemination contributions to other universities and higher education institutions at the national and international levels.

• To facilitate access for the university community to the information resources and bibliographic tools available at UNASAM, using advances in ICTs.
• To promote the publication, registration, preservation, and dissemination of UNASAM’s academic production through the development of Digital Library programs and projects.

Focus and Scope

• To increase the presence and prestige of UNASAM, as well as that of the Faculty of Economics and Accounting.
• To inform and guide society regarding national and international economic events.
• To strengthen UNASAM’s position in the debate on Peru’s economic growth and development, and in general, on the socioeconomic realities of the country and the world.
• To disseminate the research and contributions of UNASAM’s social scientists, as well as those of other academic institutions, organizations, and entities from the national public and private sectors and from other regions.
• To extend UNASAM’s theoretical, empirical, reflective, and dissemination contributions to other universities and higher education institutions in Peru and abroad, as well as to non-academic readership segments such as organizations and entities from the public and private sectors in the country and abroad, and in general, to scholars of socioeconomic events and those responsible for the formulation of economic policies.
• To encourage dialogue between UNASAM’s social scientists and other research centers in Peru and abroad, and to promote a broader incorporation of academics and specialists into the pages of the journal.

Scope

Economía & Gestión Chaninchaatsiq is a journal jointly co-edited by the Faculty of Economics and Accounting of UNASAM. It is a peer-reviewed academic publication issued semiannually.

It accepts a wide range of content evaluated by academic peers through the double-blind review method, focusing on topics related to the theory and practice of economic science, with diverse approaches and perspectives that contribute to the dissemination of intellectual development and the examination of national and global economic events; that help enrich arguments related to decision-making and influence the formulation of economic policies.

The editorial horizon extends beyond academia and integrates other segments of research and analysis outside that field, provided that they meet the requirements of argumentative and scientific rigor, in addition to addressing topics of general and current interest.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps promote a greater global exchange of knowledge.
